Places to Visit

Things to go and see while you stay at the Ivy Bush Hotel
Carmarthen is reputed to be the birth place of the legendary wizard Merlin and has the distinction of being Wales’ oldest town. It stands on a bluff above the River Towy which runs from the Black Mountains down into Carmarthen Bay. Nearby the National Botanical Garden of Wales and the historic Aberglasney Gardens are well worth a visit, as well as the many majestic mediaeval castles which dominate the landscape of West Wales. Pemberton’s Chocolate Farm attracts those with a sweet tooth while the young at heart visit Oakwood Theme Park.
